"Blond hair in the hole" is the first Superfine release of Seoul-based artist Xiami.

Xiami's unique blend of experimental-leaning techno and ambient immediately caught our ear, and it is with great delight that we present to you these five tracks.

From the industrial drums and crushed textures of "adidas on my feet" and "locust on my breakfast" to the beautiful eerie atmospheres of "no handshake on piano", this ep brings to mind some of the more adventurous and abstract moments of Chain Reaction and Mille Plateaux' peerless catalogues, all wrapped up in a distinctly gloomy and gritty sheet of digital noise.

In what has been so far a pretty pedestrian year on the music front, it's releases like this that remind us what can be achieved with electronic music as a medium when a truly unique voice steps in to challenge the status quo.
